Being a fansite?

I've always thought about it tbh... HAHAHAHA I've been interested in photography since early 2011, so it's been close to 5 years but only recently, I bought a DSLR. (It's about 2 months old :)) And it's not those really good ones because I bought it on impulse and *coughs* low budget *coughs* and considering my lack of skills, I didn't really want to push my luck. But overall, I'm quite satisfied with it. The first time I brought it out with my friends and took pictures of them, I was amazed at the quality. HD 的果然不一样! HAHAHAHAHAH

Anyway, it was really because of Bangtan that fuelled me to buy a DSLR because of my airport experience with them. (Again, I shall reiterate that I wasn't even that close to them, but seeing them in real life walking like /normal/ people and seeing the behind the scenes of how fansites work AND PRODUCING SUCH NICE PICTURES really just pushed me over that line and so I went to buy a DSLR ASAP). So that perhaps the next time Bangtan comes to SG, (be it in the airport or some event), I can have pictures of them that I can proudly say I personally took. (If it comes out really beautifully, I will be 100000% satisfied).

For these 2 months that I had my camera, I went out several times with my friends to take pictures but most of them are still pictures. So basically, they pose for me. But the thing about fansites is that, they are constantly walking to keep up with the idols and the idols themselves are also walking. So it's like a moving picture right. That's really hard to take. So my friend and I, we went to the airport on Wednesday to attempt to be like fansites and take pictures of idols walking and see how our pictures turn out. (Beast came to SG on Wednesday BTW)

So before they came, we were trying to set our settings correctly to get the ISO right and all, and we also tried to brisk walk so that we can see how we should go about it setting the right settings to be able to capture them without the photo turning out blur. But even at approximately 9pm, we still couldn't really get it right (Beast were supposed to come out of the normal exit at 930). So we asked this girl, who also had a DSLR with this massive lens (a telephoto lens I think) about how we should set the right settings. And after getting the settings somewhat "right",

my friend said,
"but the auto focus like cannot focus one leh."
and the girl replied,
"Auto focus is unreliable! Must use manual." 

AND RIGHT THERE AND THEN, I JUST GOT SO STUNNED AND FROZE FOR A BIT BECAUSE I'VE NEVER USED MANUAL FOCUS BEFORE IN THE 2 MONTHS THAT I HAD MY CAMERA AND AT THIS CRUCIAL MOMENT YOU'RE ASKING ME TO USE MANUAL FOCUS I don't even know how that shit works. OTL. And that girl was like explaining a lot of things and in the end, I just turned around and looked at my friend and said, "Being a fansite is harder than it looks." HAHAHAHAHAHA IT'S BLOODY HARD. IT'S SO COMPLICATED. TAKING PICTURES REQUIRES MORE SKILL THAN WHAT I INITIALLY THOUGHT. I just totally died internally.

But in the end, I guess I got some OK pictures of some of the beast members (quite miraculously imo. It's not there but at least they're not thaaaaaat blur hahahahahaha). I mean, I guess it was a good first attempt. And funny story actually, I think this group of 3 girls thought that my friend and I were fansites LMAO because of the way we dressed. Hmm.... that's nice. ^^
I do like beast though, please don't come bash me and say, "you don't even like beast why you go fetch them sia". Erm, I do like them, I do listen to their songs, but I don't..... l..o....v.e.. them??

But then maybe I shall just aim to be a professional photographer and be a part of an events company. At least then I get paid and can do what I love freely. Hehe :)

On the side note, every night, since Wednesday, I will just scrutinise the photos I took of them on my computer by zooming in and out and contemplate on whether JunHyung was actually looking into my camera LOL. Even my friend says that it seems like it!!! ASKJDAKJFHKAASF;GKDFB b YE

My love for jimin

LOOOOOL I just realised that I didn't allow everyone to be able to personally DM me on my twitter because silly me didn't check it before. But that's resolved.

Main topic for today is Jimin because that's why Jiminology was established. Lmao I sound like some corporate company. Anywayyyyy,

I think that Jimin is just such a sweet person (although the members did say before that he has got a temper hahahahha, but then they also did say that bangtan can't be bangtan without Jimin as well) he's made up of 45% sweetness, 50% fluff and 5% of random sexy-looks-that-could-kill.

Here's him comforting our dear leader when they won first place for I Need U on a music show (I forgot which but thank you Jimin for being there for the other members) HE'S SO CUTE, I SWEAR. LOOK AT HIS EYE SMILE. His smile is so too-die-for. Did I go to Heaven or..?

/Sobs/ WHEN CAN I SEE THIS GENUINE EYE SMILE IN REAL LIFE FACE-TO-FACE? ㅠㅠ But awwwww :') the way he comforted Rapmon was so cute!!! Go and watch the BTS bomb if you haven't already!!! 

In interviews, it's always when the other members are stressed or sad or whatever, Jimin could always be the person they go to/confide in, but I do hope that in times when Jimin is stressed or upset as well, he could easily go to them (I think that taetae is the one he goes to though). Cries I wish I could be the one there for him. Babe I'd listen to you all day.

Look he's just so fluffy ;; AND DOESN'T HE LOOK LIKE A LITTLE SCHOOL BOY. 

Let's not forget his one-sided love he has for Jungkook haha this is probably the only thing we have in common; we're both in a one-sided relationship (although I'm pretty sure Jungkook loves his hyung a lot too)

He's just so handsome and a ball of fluff, I literally cannot deal with it. I will die if I ever go to a fansign. I will have a mental breakdown right in front of him and embarrass myself. Let's not mention the fact that apparently, Jimin is really flirty at fansigns but HE SEEMS SO SHY LIKE A SMALL LITTLE BOY. Often I forget that he's older than me because he's just so squishy like a baby.

The other members also did mention that he will be a very sweet boyfriend to his girlfriend so well, that's nice, now Jimin has set the standards for the guys I look for LOL.

Speaking of fansigns though, I really wish I could go to one.

This was New Year? I think? After their sailor suit performance AND THEY SLAYED. Bangtan never fails istg. And Jimin was so happy in this Bangtan bomb, I couldn't resist not taking a screenshot. (Or multiple screenshots, really).

Also, my dear friends, I ship Yoonmin because they are so freaking adorable. (You're lying to yourself if you don't ship yoonmin too) They're so short and sweet and squishy and Yoongi doesn't seem like he cares a lot but he does so much even though he's like lazy and all. But Jimin is his favourite dongsaeng SO YOONMIN IS JUST SO PRECIOUS I CAN CRY A RIVER. Yoongi cares so much for Jimin it's literally the cutest thing on Earth.

This is when Yoongi was in the hospital and Bangtan took a bear as a representation of Yoongi (quite an apt representation in my opinon hahahahah) AND JIMIN IS HOLDING IT /screams yoonmin!!!/

This is the recent celebration of Jungkook's birthday AND HALLELUJAH LOOK AT HOW FLUFFY THESE TWO ARE. Also, probably one of the rare moments Yoongi is spotted in a bucket hat? Usually he wears a snapback right? Speaking of Yoongi in snapbacks, HE LOOKS SO GOOD IN THEM. 

Jimin is always there for his hyung; he always supports him and I just ;;;;;;; It's so endearing I need a bucket for my tears tyvm.

This is me 24/7 because of Jimin. 

Jimin is such a nice person I also do wish that good things will only go to him and he shall experience only good things because good things happen to good people right? ;_;

On the side note, Jungkook is such a dork, he has such a derp face I LOVE IT. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA Our cute maknae is so weird and he's finally revealing his true eccentric self to the fans. Not being as shy as he used to be hahahahha :)

Here's my beautiful second bias. Bangtan are all very beautiful though, tbvh.

I'd like to say I can't live without Jimin, but really, I can't live without Bangtan and Bangtan can't be one without the other. ♥♥♥ 

I actually had an airport experience with them once before, but I kept my distance because 

1. I didn't really want to invade their privacy (There weren't many people there so it was possible to go quite close)

2. I was tired because it was after a concert and 

3. I really hate bring squashed by people. I love my personal space a lot thank you very much. I really hate crowded places. (Except concerts ahaha :))

So... that was that. But I managed to make Jimin see my fanboard in the airport TWICE and I died both times. The first time I was like standing quite a distance away but then I waved my fanboard frantically in his direction like a lunatic and he saw and did a double take. Lmao I think it's becuase it's one of the first few fanboards that he's seen that's for him. (Maybe?) I'd like to thank the Lord for my strong legs but really, they turned into jelly and I fell onto the wall behind me for support. IT WAS EMBARRASSING BECAUSE HE MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE SEEN IT. Unreliable sia my legs HAAHAHHA

BTS Fancafe Level Up

Hi friends, I am back to tell all you lovely people how to level up on the fancafe. Whew whew~

Ok, so I know that BTS fancafe now has the /burden/ streaming screenshot question that really does no justice to use foreign fans who really really really wanna level up. But fret not, there are ways to "cheat", BELIEVE ME. It's a tried and tested method by yours truly. :)

Funny story actually, I started trying to level up on the fancafe only early this year from Jan, and I kept trying until I finally levelled up 3 months later. (Oh Thank the good Lord) I literally almost gave up from trying so many times. And initially, there wasn't the streaming question but fancafe photos keep getting leaked (ugh, why), so they added the streaming question. I wanted to cry and got a mental breakdown. Anyway, so I tried to work past it AND IT WORKED /throws confetti/ so I'm gonna tell y'all how it works and hopefully y'all can level up too! (Yayyyyy)

BTW, this is only for andriod users. I know iPhone users can purchase the streaming pass but andriod can't (I think?) so for iPhone users, y'all can buy the streaming pass but if you don't want to, you can try this method on your phone. I don't know if it will work though.

This tutorial will be for those without MelOn account.

Step 1: Download the MelOn app via this link.

Step 2: Create a MelOn account (or Login to your account if you already have one). Click on the link as shown in the red circles to sign up.

Step 4: Click on the circled button. It helps to to auto-select all the terms and conditions or whatever they are. (I think they're terms and conditions tho so...)

 Step 5: Fill in your particulars.

And you're done signing up! Phew

Next, click on the search button and search for bangtan's 쩔어.

Step 7: Click on 듣기. It appears are the preview of only 1 minute. 

Step 8: From here, go directly to settings and change your timezone to Seoul's timezone. (Very standard one la hor)

Step 9: (CRUCIAL PART GUYS) Then go to manage your applications and EXIT ALL APPLICATIONS. 

Step 10: Go into the melon app again. 

You will see this: 

쩔어 will be on your "streaming" list. (I don't know what do you call that lol)

Step 11: Click on it. You will see that it is the full version. My dear friends, this is another crucial part. DO NOT CLICK PLAY. If you click play it will go back to the preview version. 

Just move the white button thingy to near the end of the song. Like so:

Then you take the screenshot of it with the current date and time. (Like in the example below.) If you want to play safe, change your phone language to Korean too.

Actually I think you might wanna take the screenshot such that the title can also be seen LOL 

The reason why you will need the current date and time is because you need it for the level up application since BigHit splits the level up application forms into MonTueWed and ThursFriSat. You can't use Monday's screenshot for Thursday's application.

And you will need to edit your screenshot to include your MelOn account user ID or something like that. I forgot already. Oops.

Anyway, that's about it for cheating the streaming system. (Hallelujah!) I hope I don't get in trouble from BigHit or MelOn. LOL. Any other questions about levelling up (except for answers to the questions), my twitter DM is always available hehe :) There's really no use in asking me for the answers anyway, I'm not really good in Korean. I only self-studied for about 2 months to learn the grammar and neglected the vocabulary. I use naver dictionary for that. Haha :')

Hello lovely people of the army fandom (+ others that came here for other various reasons), I'm from Singapore. I can't say for sure why I wanted to create this jiminology blog (oh and if you can't tell by my website name and blog heading, I'm a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge jimin fan I LOVE him truckloads) and I can assure you that I am no expert in jiminology (although I would like to claim that I am) but maybe I would just like to spread some jimin love to all of you so perhaps that's why this blog was born.

I've been a bangtan fan since 2014, July 8th. It's somewhere right before their full album, 'Dark and Wild' comeback, so that doesn't make me an "army since before debut"/"old army" but despite that, it has been more than a year already (time sure do know how to fly) and I can say that my feelings for bangtan has remained the same, if not stronger, since then. Especially in the later half of this year, I think, that I became even more fond of jimin (if that's even possible) so I guess here I am with this blog now.

Also, if I could just add, I find it mildly irritating that there are "old armys" that often tweet about wanting the fandom to go back to No More Dream era, like I understand that we all do not want fandom dramas and just want it to be peaceful, but for new armys who sincerely love bangtan and are also not causing any drama *coughs* aka me *coughs*, when I see tweets like that I'll just be like, "oh. ok. so do I leave or?" BUT I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE YOU KNOW because I really do love bangtan a lot. So can y'all just not talk about how the fandom was like before (because I really don't know anything about how it was like before) and maybe just try to get rid of all the hateful people like reporting them or whatsoever. You can't fight fire with fire; everyone is just gonna get hurt in the end. Spread more love, especially to bangtan in times when they need it. (Basically when random hateful people just appear out of nowhere because they have no lives and start shitting on bangtan, that's when we have to tell bangtan how much we love them. And I do assume we all love them a lot.)

Anyway, I have a twitter fan account, @jimchimjim. 

I guess I'm quite low-profiled but I do TRY to make friends because I really do wanna make friends with armys, especially SG armys (so that if there is by any chance you guys wanna go Korea or and overseas concert together, please jio ok). So I kind of wanna make use of this blog to express my ever-lasting love for jimin in more than 140 characters (some nights I do spam on my twitter but it's rare now that I'm super busy with Uni) and also if I could use this blog as a platform to make EVEN MORE NEW friends, that would just be very much ideal. And if YOU GUYS wanna /i don't know/ create a twitter fanbase with me, i definitely wouldn't mind AT ALL. But I know nothing about how to run a fanbase so if you're as clueless as me, well... we'll figure something out. No big deal. 

That's all for now from jiminology. It's nothing about jiminology really, but we'll probably get there. My next post will probably be about fancafe level up and all that jazz. It's an interesting story and there are ways to cheat through that stupid streaming question, if you're a foreigner. So never say never!
